As odd as it may seem, I have recently grown more opposed to time travel becomming a reality.

Not for what you could see, but what footprints you would leave in the past. Think of what a laptop computer could tell the Nazi's. Or an M1 tank in the hands of Stonewall Jackson.

Well, I kinda like excitement too. Relaxing afterwards is nothing to shake a stick at either. Anyhow, it doesn't matter what happens - every possibility is ultimately possible, so why not pick the ones with the most potential for maximum fun to participate in? Heck, its all just a holodeck/matrix simulation anyhow, who worries about broken illusions?

Of course. But I believe that love is what joins two souls, and by joing two souls, increases the energy of that co-joined soul. Keep doing that for many, many lives, and you end up with a very powerful and loving entity that could kick the ass of Q who knew nothing of love -- only 'kicks' and 'fun'. In our current earth, 'Q' would be having a lot of fun, sick little weirdo that 'it' was.

Intentional seasoned time travelers aren't as scary as what could happen if some uncivilized dimwitted species accidentally discovered time travel technology, which results in them creating a causality loop, which we all keep repeating forever and ever, causing those occasional instances of deja vu.

Interesting, but if you factor in the multiple time lines like the show "Sliders", you can have multiple realities that are not necessarily the same. That helps to counter the paradox somewhat.

It doesn't work that way. You could no more take a laptop from here to there than you could transport matter between two different dreams or holodeck programs.

Always remember: There are no spoons. No laptops really either. It's all an illusion, rememberer? None of this is really real ~ no more so than any laptop seen in last nights non-lucid dream.

If you cannot let go of your misconceptions of, and belief in, the physical realm, then time travel will make no sense and you'll be stuck and trapped here. You must let go to get to go.

I should add too, as an example, that if you could transport (illusionary) matter from today back to yesterday, why take a laptop? Why not take a pile of gold back to yesterday and set it next to itself yesterday, thus doubling your net worth in gold? And then take that pile back to the day before that and put it next to its original self too. Oh, and don't forget to take along each copy of yourself that you'll be bumping into during each jump back to another yesterday too, you'll need some help moving (and guarding) all that gold.

Doesn't work that way. If you stole yesterdays gold to take back to the previous day, it wouldn't be there for you to take on that first day you left into the past to steal it from yesterday.

Nope, you can see it doesn't work like that, does it. The only thing that can go is your soul. Not even your flesh can go back to yesterday, just your soul!
