Very nice, Alpha! And Kudos to Muse, also!

I am both sad and furious.

For the last month, I have sent Muse's graphic of our Winners for the Top III guests of all time to George, Lex Lonehood and Shawn.

My last attempt was a few day ago...this is the response I received from Lex ( btw, I posted it in the TO last night:

    Lex to me, Shawn

    Jan 10 (20 hours ago)

We did receive this, but we are not planning on running it, Ingrid.

    Best,
    lex
They put our invite up here:

    http://www.coasttocoastam.com/gen/pa...ml?theme=light

Yet, they won't put up our update....

Here's my email to Lex, Shawn ( and I don't blame him at all, as he put up our invite in the first place)...I've also copied George.

    I am FURIOUS!!!!!

Lex, thank you for your response.

At minimum, I won't be going to the Coast Site each day to wait for an update.

That said, I would appreciate a response as to the intent and why.

You hosted our invitation for ALL Coast listeners to help us celebrate and vote on their Top 3 Favorite Guests of all time, on the program...and for that I give you gratitude and thanks.

    http://www.coasttocoastam.com/gen/pa...ml?theme=light

We have many Coast and Streamlink ( paying ) members already on the forum and new ones. who joined my site, just to participate in this celebration.

George has been mentioning my site, along with others, every week for over 2 years ++

Why would you not post an UPDATE to the original posting??

Your corporation (Premiere Network), your management, your hosts either support and promote listener loyalty, the free market research you glean from these sites, including mine, or you don't without BIAS from one to another, if that's what this is.

I am dumbfounded, that all of YOU, don't seem to care, on a vote that just may drive your ratings or give you some insight to what the long time and loyal listeners of Coast care and have taken the time to vote about ...albeit a smaller focus group.

In addition to that, I am amazed that you dont' seem to want any barometer on your listenership, or so it seems unless they have blinded adulation to what is being presented....the what, the how and whom.

Guess when Bad Boy has an avatar change...that makes in on Coast to Coast as news for the day, or there is some thrust to support his site by attempting to bring it down on air...that qualifies...or even for a segment of a show to promote him...or anything he or anyone from his forum submits seems to conveniently make it both to the Coast Site and on air.

We at my site, Imaginative Worlds, will always tell it the way we see it at the time...collectively and individually.

We love the genre, the topics, what Coast is and always has delivered and we want it to continue.

I would hope that our feedback would give you a good market sample of your listenership.....beyond who just turns the radio dial on because they work a night job or just can't sleep.

Yet all that said, you refuse, it seems to post our vote on the Top 3 guests that we voted on this year.

    WHY??...don't you care.

We are your listeners, your paying members, along with many just waking up or making time for the show, despite what our real lives bring us.

Is that the way you treat us???

I am asking for the reason WHY you decided not to post our update on our Top 3 Coast Guests of all time!

IF it's not you Lex...or someone else, then let me know who it is...I won't drop this one.

I find this insulting, hurtful and intentional.

And BTW...George mentions many websites every week that don't even follow the show anymore: ie froggforum, intoinfinity ...don't know about the rest.

Do your research...really check out that frogg forum??...I doubt if anyone really checked it out or some of the others...if you had, I am more than sure, you would be embarrassed to ever even mention them, with the content or lack of there....oh well...

Imaginative Worlds still has a very successful live chat and follows the show everynight.

Guess you all don't care about that...makes me very, very sad.

BTW, I'm copying George on this, for whatever that's worth.

As you can see, I am VERY upset by your reponse.

Again, I am asking for why your response was:

" We did receive this, but we are not planning on running it, Ingrid"

I will be posting the result of our communication on my forum. We had many people working on this in honor of the genre we so love..Coast to Coast....sadly I guess we cared more than you all did.

Best regards and with great sadness,

    Ingrid (alpha)

    HI Guys.

Wishing you both all the best for 2008!

I know this is holiday time, however, maybe I'm doing something incorrectly.

Would you kindly please update the url that you kindly posted on your site for Imaginative Worlds IIIrd Anniversary here: http://www.coasttocoastam.com/gen/pa...ml?theme=light

Better yet, a new link would even be better.

Let me know if I am....anyway, I'm sending you a second request to update the Winners of our Anniversary contest for the top Coast Guests within our community.

    http://www.imaginativeworlds.com/for...ead.php?t=9225

I know I'm not using the "form" to submit, however I hope that's o.k.

If there is something wrong or unusable in what I have submitted, please let me know.

All the best and thank you so much in advance,

    Ingrid ( alpha )

Well, it's been nice to hear them mention IW on the air. I wonder if they will stop? I just wonder if George, Lex, Tom, Lisa, and other know how they are being perceived?

On one side of the coin they ignore a supportive forum, while promoting ones that don't really follow the show. They ignore good guest suggestions, then have the same guests on again and again. They've ignored some good music by loyal listeners, yet play UFO Phil. Sorry, Ing, I just don't understand the logic.

Thanks VO....you don't know how sorry I am as well.

You all perhaps don't know how may hours CB and I put in to this place...sometime more than a work day 7 days a week.

It'll be up to the folks here now, to keep this place alive and viable or not..with or without Coast and the TO...guess time will tell

Actually, I know how much work it is, having run a few boards in the past. It's a thankless job that requires attention to detail and the patience of Jobe. The board runs on love and dedication, and I don't know of one that breaks even on a consistent basis. So I have to say, thank you for all the work you have put in over the years. Your efforts HAVE been appreciated.

    Thank YOU!!

I'm not ready to give up yet...perhaps never, however I'm reeling from another really low blow...I'll get over it ...I hope

Many thanks for your understanding, support...and most of all for being here, right now, for me!

If you truly believe in Karma, and the equalizations of all things good and bad, you have to know that it will all work out for the best. I just think it's sad to be preaching "being in the light", yet treating people so insignificantly. We shall see.

Well, after numerous emails back and forth to Coast, we finally have our update.

    Scroll down about 1/3 third:

    http://www.coasttocoastam.com/gallery/images.html

Thank you Lex, George et all.

I won't post the gory details, just know I'm always fighting for our small space in the cyber and for all of you who love the genre, your opinions. your input etc., and the right to be at minimum, recognized as all other listeners, customers and "sites" are, if not more so for the breadth, depth and true heart we have here, of which I am very proud!

Glad to hear, I didn't understand why they had a bad attitude towards it as it was a positive thing about their best guests.

Along with Sincerity, We Need a More Professional PR Approach

I just discovered this thread, empathize with the concerns and the seeming ignoring/ance, by show producers, of fans' contributions to the success of a, relatively, magnificent radio show. Sincerity and implicit faith -- for more than just advertisers -- is ever so precious in the breath of life conjugated between producers and perceivers [us] in the furtherance of cutting through to truthfulness, in personal and collective life, and making of a healthier society as a consequence, facilitated by producing and broadcasting Coast to Coast.

Such subtle realms are far more life enhancing and ever more precious than deeply deceitful parasitic disingenuous suckage of the gullibility of naive seekers to the jackalsome coffers of insatiable greedies.

We, the sincere among our species, are the direct connection to the heart of humanity in search of answers and imperative in longing for and support in creating a healthier and more truthful society contributing to the welfare of all life at all times, and we, the sincere listeners, are the truly supportive factor giving the show credence for its existence, while supporting it through participating with advertisers. Coast to Coast is the kind of show that, until its existence, would only have found survival on public radio, listener sponsored radio, in North America. Our sincerity, implicit faith and determination to find and encourage truthfulness in science, commerce, politics, values and the other realms of social life are what made Coast to Coast the commercially viable, and most successful night-time syndicated show in North America. We deserve to be heard, word for word.

An intimate relationship as if Coast to Coast was a community venue and the confirming rapport that its existence is established by such community must come first and formost for its participants: producers, listeners, guests and advertisers -- by which the show will grow ever more due to such intimacies and dispositions. No more of these reptilian responses to the genuine supporters who give the show reason for existence. Such dispositions are demonstrative that the show, en whole, or at least by some of its participants have reached their Peter Principle. The life of Coast to Coast, and of us, its supportive listeners, depends upon cultivating, fostering and maintaining this rapport -- something that cannot be perpetuated by heartless reptilian dispositions to those who give the show its purpose.
